PLAN OF SALVATION
There are many things we may wonder about and fear in this uncertain world. The one thing we don’t have to be uncertain about is where we will spend eternity. The Bible says we can know we have eternal life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. - 1 John 5:13
There are 5 things you must understand to be saved:
1. God Loves All People
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - John 3:16
2. All Men Are Sinners
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; - Romans 3:23
3. Sin Must Be Paid For
For the wages of sin is death; - Romans 6:23a
4. The Good News Is Christ Paid For Our Sin
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8
5. We Must Personally Pray And Receive Christ By Faith As Savior
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:13
If you would like to be saved, you could pray a prayer something like this:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I know that there is a penalty for my sin and that penalty is a place called Hell. And right now the best way I know how I am asking You to come into my heart, forgive me of my sin, and save me. I thank you for saving me. Amen.”
If you prayed that prayer and meant it Jesus promises to save you!
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:13
