Student Ministries

 

Nursery

We offer nursery services for Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. Our nursery will allow you and your child to have an enjoyable experience at Sunshine Baptist. We ask that any child age four and over attend one of our other services designed especially for them.

 

Light House Kids Klub

This is our exciting Wednesday night program

that has something for everyone ages 3 and up.

We come together for a snack, break up into separate

classes, and then have time for a game or activity.

Students work to earn points by saying bible verses,

bringing their bibles or a friend and with other ways

to earn points also. At the end of the year we have a

special trip planned for all students to attend and if

they have earned enough points they get to go free!

 

Junior Church

This is a wonderful program that we have each and every Sunday morning for kids ages 4-6th grade. They learn and sing songs, study a bible lesson and play games or do activities. Several weeks throughout the year the Junior church service has a specific theme for that week where students get to learn about an interesting topic and how it relates to the Christian life.

 

Teens

Teens have their own special services for Sunday school and Wednesday nights. They have lessons geared toward their needs with games and activities that are fun and exciting. They have Valentines Banquets, Christmas Parties, and many other activities throughout the year.

 

 

Adult Ministries

 

Nursery  (Birth – 3 years old)

We always need help in the nursery! We offer nursery services for Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. Which will allow you and your child to have an enjoyable experience at Sunshine Baptist. We ask that any child age four and over go to one of our other services designed especially for them.
 

College Secret Pal

As a college student, it can be very difficult to stay connected to the church community. The College Secret Pals program pairs a college student with a member of the church who ministers to the student by giving gifts, remembering special occasions, and by praying for the student. This ministry runs concurrent with the school year, and students are paired up each August.

 

Wrap Your Baby in Sunshine Blanket Ministry

Every month babies are born at our local hospital and don’t have the basics they need, one of those being a blanket. Many ladies make blankets every month and these are donated to these families in need. To date we have donated over 220 blankets to HARH.

 

Christ Hands

Sunshine Baptist is involved in a local organization called Christ’s Hands. It’s mission is to bring food, clothing, and Christ to the people in need of Harlan County. We have two ways you can be involved. You can donate food, goods, or clothing here at Sunshine Baptist or you can volunteer on Mondays at Christ’s Hands serving meals and helping in other needed ways.

 

LIFT (Ladies In Fellowship Together)    

LIFT is a ministry for ladies to lift up each other in the Lord.

Our ministry offers opportunities for ladies to get involved;

such as Bible studies, mission ministries, and special events.

It is our hope that ladies find a place to grow spiritually, and

LIFT up those in need. Ladies are encouraged to join this

ministry which meets bi-monthly.
